The Year 10 course explores the full capabilities of our DSLR cameras. Students will have access to a wide variety of equipment including cameras, lenses, filters, tripods, lighting, and image manipulation software using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Participants will learn about the technical aspects of photography including framing, shot composition, codes and conventions. Students will undertake creative projects including, entering a ‘Capture Nature’ competition, exploring local places of interest, perspective photography and advertising a product.

Please note: Students can use their own digital cameras with parental permission if they so wish. Students are not, however, expected to purchase extra equipment other than their own SD memory card. School-owned cameras are available for the students to use in class time.

This course leads to Year 11 Photography or Graphics.
