Leadership and participation has always been encouraged in Francis House. This, combined with an amazing House spirit, results in Francis House placing high in most interhouse competitions. Francis House’s charity outreach has included collecting the ring-pulls off soft drink cans for Wheelchair for Kids.
Francis House personality is always bubbly and loud, but we always make sure to lead with stewardship and help each other grow.
St Francis of Assisi
St Francis of Assisi (1181-1226) has a story of humility and stewardship of the earth and all of God’s creatures. He lived a life completely without material wealth, quite unlike most other church leaders of his time. He was so overwhelmed at seeing people reduced to poverty that he swapped his clothes with them and vowed to follow God as the Gospel demanded.
