The Music Department at Prendiville is a unique, vibrant and exciting area. Over the year, students will participate in a variety of practical and theoretical activities based around a variety of topics. The musical element of Rhythm is a particular focus in Year 7, and students are given a variety of opportunities to perform rhythmic compositions and participate in both solo and group percussion activities throughout the course.

Year 7 students are offered a large range of co-curricular Music activities including our extensive Instrumental and Vocal Tuition Programme, and a large variety of concert band, vocal and contemporary ensembles. Students will also be given the opportunity to participate in performance events held throughout the year.

Pathway: This course leads to Year 8 Music Performance and Technology.
