The Junior Dance Company, a select group of Year 8 & 9 elite dancers, who rehearse on Thursday mornings before school, competed at DanceLife Unite Competition on Saturday 19th June.
The students were simply stunning as they performed their lyrical routine “Beautifully Unfinished”.
The judges could not stop commenting on how impressed they were with the group. With comments including:
“Extremely well-rehearsed”
“Lovely emotive work and musicality, with a very mature performance”
“Lovely synchronicity, beautiful work from all dancers, they are stunning”.
“Outstanding technique”
“Wonderful, clean transitions between sections with fabulous spatial awareness”
The girls ended up winning their section with a score of 98/100. They were also awarded the “Overall Technique Award” out of all Teen/Senior Troupes performed in the competition. Mind you the rest of the competition was private dance studios. So to be awarded this particular title was amazing!
