On Sunday, 31st October, the Prendiville Chamber Choir travelled to St David’s Church in Ardross to sing at a traditional Choral Evensong for All Saints and All Souls Day. It was a beautiful service with the first candle of remembrance dedicated to the memory of Alumni Jack McCormack, (Class of 2018). The candle was placed by fellow Alumni and 2018 Head Boy, Dylan Holden.
The choir performed a beautiful Evensong setting in the Noongar language, a setting of ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’ by Howard Goodall and a stunning solo by Year 11 Georgia Elphick, who performed ‘Pie Jesu’ from Faure Requiem.
We were also joined by seven Class of 2018-2021 Music Alumni, who sang with the choir for the service and will join us again for our 4pm Christmas Concert at the College on Saturday, 27 November.
