The Endeavour Centre has been a buzz for weeks as Josh Powell, Harry Pigdon, Jack Dalton, Aidan Maloney, Owen Thomas, Liam Ness, Asialee Blair and Teah Cunningham devised their own half hour radio program which was broadcast live on 89.7FM ECU Wednesday the 28th of October. The recording of the broadcast can be found here:
As part of the award-winning School of Thought 89.7 concept, live each Wednesday, the students proudly talked about their life as students at Prendiville. Their learning can have its challenges so skills in Math, English and Creative Arts mixed with important live skills gives them confidence to take on new challenges at school and outside. New challenges like broadcasting on live radio!
Program creator John Logan was impressed with how confident the students approached the Live Broadcasting challenge. “I hope this becomes a regular, annual event for the centre to be involved in. Their stories were incredible. We’d love to host these guys anytime”, said Mr Logan.
Initiated by Chris Greenwood then embraced and mentored by Sara George, Ciara O’Gorman, Louise Monaghan and Cathy Shannon the live broadcasting idea could well become a regular activity in the future.
