Applied Information Technology (General)
Applied Information Technology (General) equips students with the practical skills in developing digital solutions for real-life issues, emphasising client collaboration, solution evaluation, and the understanding of computer systems. It also provides a theoretical and practical foundation in digital technologies, preparing students for further studies and careers in technology, while fostering responsible use and consideration of legal, ethical, and social implications.
In Year 12, students will study Units 3 & 4
Unit 3 – of the course focuses on using digital technologies for creating and manipulating digital media, where students explore various applications for producing visual and audio communications and analyse trends and implications of digital media transmission.
Unit 4 – emphasises the application of digital technologies in business, covering the creation of documents and communications, network configurations to support business needs, and the design of digital solutions that adhere to legal, ethical, and social considerations.
