Interhouse Athletics Carnival:

The Interhouse Athletics Carnival was held on the 5th & 6th of May, in Week 2 of Term 2. We were blessed with amazing weather across both days with fantastic participation in all year groups. Across the two days it was fantastic to see a showcase of skills, competitive times and incredible House Spirit. This is a big credit to the PE Staff, House Leaders and Student Leaders who have played a big role in the lead up to the carnival and on the day. In a tabloid format, students were given the opportunity to participate in a number of track, field and novelty events demonstrating their sporting prowess whilst gaining valuable points for their House.

The days ended with Year Group relays which were extremely competitive and added to the excitement which was a fitting end to two excellent days of sport.

These days are not possible without the support of our College Community coming together. A big thank you to all Staff for their assistance in helping to run this two-day event, to the Prendiville Alumni who assisted in various roles throughout the event, and to the Parents of Prendiville who assisted us on the day in their fantastic Mexican-themed Buggy.

This year’s results will be presented at the Term 2, Week 8 College Assembly with the presentation of the Interhouse Athletics Shield to the Champion House and Champion and Runner-up Boy and Girl for each Year Group.

ACC Cross Country Training:

The ACC Cross Country Training Squad have been training hard on Monday and Friday mornings with National Triathlon Coaches, Janine & Brad Kaye. The squad have been completing a number of sessions focusing on speed, technique and endurance in preparation for the ACC Cross Country on Thursday 2nd of June. It has been excellent to see so many students working hard and attending these sessions. A final trial will be held on Thursday 19th May to aid in the selection of the final team. Students of all abilities are welcome to attend training with the squad. Training is held on the College Oval from 7.30am-8.15am Mondays & Fridays.
