Prendivillian returns to put on a show

By May 13, 2021News

The Dance students of Prendiville have been extremely fortunate to have ex-student, Kenisha Yam, invited back to the College as a guest choreographer.

Kenisha was an outstanding Dance student during her time here at Prendiville, achieving both subject awards and the title of “Most Outstanding Overall Dancer (Year 8-12)”. Even as early as Year 7, Mrs Johnson could see the passion and talent she had for both performing and creating dance.

Since leaving the College she has pursued her education in Dance, completing an Advance Diploma in Performing Arts – specialising in Commercial Dance. She even moved over to the east coast to further her training and networking. This year she returned to Perth to assist in the choreography and perform in Legally Blonde, The Musical at The Crown Theatre.

Kenisha has been working with the Year 11 and 12 dance classes, in addition to the Dance Company and the Junior Dance Company. These ensembles are working towards performances at the DanceLife Unite Competition, the Catholic Performing Arts Festival and the Prendiville Dance Showcase. We wish them all the best of luck during this rehearsal process.
