NATIONAL SCIENCE WEEK

Week 4 | Term 3: August 12 – 16 2019

Welcome to National Science Week 2019 where the real magic happens!

We have an exciting week ahead that might spark the magic of science in you. Places are limited, so make sure you get in quick. There will be a sign-up sheet on the Science door starting Monday morning.

There will be a Daily Quiz to complete and prizes to be won!

Here are the exciting lunch time events that we have in store for you:

Monday

Whacky experiments in KS2. Come along to see science in action. There will be dry ice, hydrogen bombs, static electricity, microscopic worlds, slime, blue bottle and much more! There will be things for you to do too! Places are limited, so make sure that you sign up for this.

Tuesday

Sherbet making in KS2. This is open to the Year 7 Science Club members only.

Wednesday

Year 7 and 8 Project Night from 6.30 pm – 8.00 pm.

Thursday

Wild beasts – meet and greet in KS2 with Biologist Amy Wild and her Aussie animals. Only 30 spots so sign up quick! There is also a Period 5 show for the Year 7 Science Club members in KS2.

Friday

Escape Room in KS2 and KS3. Random students in Years 8 and 9 have been selected. Let’s see if you’ve got the wits and skills to beat the clock and escape in time!
