This course will outline information about nutrition and food as well as technology in relation to food production. The emphasis of the course is on developing food preparation skills, recipe interpretation and food presentation skills.
- Students will need to bring a container, laptop, pens and pencils to each lesson.
- Students will need to be able to follow recipes, choose correct equipment, and prepare food products and present meals in the appropriate manner.
Safety Requirements: Students will need to work safely when using all kitchen equipment.
Additional Course Fee: The fee for this course covers the cost of 2 student workbooks, food and the upkeep of kitchen equipment.
